A place for languages. Not for showing off.

ExNilingo is a community where language learners, native speakers, teachers, and curious minds come together to explore languages and different ways of learning them.

Exchange resources, practise with others, share your progress, and experiment freely, whether you’re learning your first foreign language or your tenth.

What you can do here

01

Explore a space for every language

ExNilingo is organised into language spaces, each with its own discussions, questions, resources, and activities. Join the languages you’re learning, those you already speak, or simply those you’re curious about. Lesser-known languages are just as welcome as widely studied ones.

02

Exchange resources and experiences

Share books, courses, podcasts, videos, websites, and learning techniques. Ask questions, compare approaches, and learn from other people’s discoveries. What helped someone else might be exactly what you’ve been looking for.

03

Document your learning

Keep a learning journal, share recordings or videos of yourself speaking, and ask for feedback. Follow your own progress over time, from your first hesitant sentences to more confident conversations. You don’t have to be good at something before sharing it.

04

Meet other learners online

Join or organise conversation sessions, practise pronunciation, study together, and meet people interested in the same languages. You can also help others learn a language you already speak.

05

Discover and develop learning methods

There’s no single way to acquire a language. Explore immersion, grammar, shadowing, comprehensible input, and other approaches. People developing their own methods can have dedicated spaces to present their ideas, share materials, and exchange directly with interested learners.

What makes ExNilingo different

Learn without performing.

No follower counts · No likes or comment counts · No popularity-driven algorithm

No incentive to show off or compete for attention. Just a place to experiment, make mistakes, and share your progress without judgement.

Away from the exposure of mainstream social media, you can exchange with people who share your interest in languages, rather than an unpredictable audience. Who can see your posts depends on each space’s privacy settings.
